Expanding God’s Kingdom

Expanding God’s Kingdom This morning I asked the Lord, “Why do you want me to always forgive? Is it because You want me to be a good person?” This is what I heard in my heart: “Every time you forgive, you open the door for My kingdom to come in and be expanded on earth.” I realized that our calling is not about us, it is about His kingdom being established and expanded on earth as it is in heaven. Our focus should not be on establishing our own kingdoms and ministries. Every kingdom but His kingdom is subject to failure. We don’t want to promote ourselves with our gifts, we want to preach Jesus. We don’t want to expand our kingdoms; we want to expand God’s kingdom . May we all build and establish His kingdom through love, forgiveness, healing, deliverance, encouragement, peace, joy, laughter, giving, prayer, intercession, etc. When the body of Christ concentrates on building His kingdom, we will be filled with joy when we hear that someone else is successful in ministry, whether it is ...

On Our Knees

On Our Knees Being filled with the Holy Spirit of God is a free gift through Jesus, but getting connected to the Holy Spirit inside of us involves action on our part. Many of us have the Holy Spirit of God inside, but few of us are connected to Him on a daily basis. I asked the Holy Spirit to tell me how I could get connected to Him inside of me. I heard Him say, “on your knees.” Getting down on our knees shows our neediness and respect toward the Holy Spirit of God. Getting on our knees in front of others is so humbling. Being on our knees will not make us more holy— it is the sign of neediness. Our holiness will not attract the Holy Spirit of God, but our neediness will. From Kamran Yaraei’s Book “Food For The Heart”.

Preaching Christ

Preaching Christ When you talk about the King, talk as if He is alive, because He is. He is much more alive than we are. When I was a new Christian, Christ was much more alive to me than He is now. Christ doesn’t change. He is always alive. What happened then? Somehow I began preaching myself rather than preaching Christ. I used the gifts and knowledge of Christ in me to show others how alive I was. Preaching self will drain life from us, but preaching Christ will fill us with life . The more we preach Him, the more life will flow through and out of us. If we preach ourselves, when people reject us it will make us angry. If we preach Christ, we will not be angry at all when people reject us. Christ is alive. Christ is near. Christ is here. Rise up our King and take Your place in us. We abide in You so that others may see You, not us. And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to kno...

Jesus’ Wedding Day

Jesus’ Wedding Day Have you ever seen a wedding being planned? It involves many different people working as a team and a wedding coordinator who puts the whole thing together. As we know, our Lord is planning to get married and He will have a marriage ceremony sooner or later. Many angels are working to prepare His wedding. Are we helping them prepare for the ceremony? Have we sent the invitation that we carry in our hearts to others who don’t know about the wedding? It is an honor to be part of the Son of God’s wedding. Not only are we all invited to the wedding, but we are all invited to help with the preparations. Let us work hard to prepare His wedding ceremony. Let us be in unity with the Holy Spirit (the coordinator), with the angels, and with each other. We have a wedding to plan. Help us beautiful Son of God to plan Your wedding. We love You so much and are excited to plan Your wedding and to see Your wedding day . Forgive us for paying so much attention to ourselves and for fo...

Opening the Door for the Holy Spirit

Opening the Door for the Holy Spirit I do not believe that fasting makes us more holy. It is a physical act that opens the door for the Holy Spirit to come in . Prayer is another physical act that opens the door for the Spirit of God to move. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how to open the door for Him. Fasting and praying will prepare the way for the Holy Spirit of God to manifest in us and through us. I used to think if I would fast, I would become more holy. Now I know that when I fast, I open the door for the Holy One to come in. There is a big difference between becoming holy and opening the door for the Holy One to rush out of us into this world. We do not need to focus on becoming more holy— we are holy through the Son of God; we need to simply open the door for the Holy One to come in. From Kamran Yaraei’s Book “Food For The Heart”.

Our Decisions Will Affect Others

Our Decisions Will Affect Others Our decisions about others can bring pain or comfort into their lives. Our decisions about our own lives can also greatly affect other people’s lives . We have the power to affect each other. We are all connected. The Lord is reigning in heaven, but He gave the earth into the hands of men. The heavens are the heavens of the LORD; But the earth He has given to the sons of men (Psalm 115:16). He also gave us free will. I want to consider others and know that my decisions about my own life will also affect them. We are not here for our own benefit but for God’s plan and purposes. We are not called to make decisions based on the benefit they will bring for us. Ask yourself some questions before you make a decision. How will this decision affect other people’s lives? Am I here just for me? Please know that your decisions will affect other people. Consider others when you make decisions. From Kamran Yaraei’s Book “Food For The Heart”. ...

Being a Good Person

Being a Good Person The rich young ruler called Jesus a good master and His response was, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone” (see Luke 18:19). Of course the rich young ruler didn’t see who Jesus really was. He called a human being a good master, and Jesus questioned him. Now the questions we should ask are: Am I a good person? What will make me a good person? Am I a better person than a murderer? Are my sins lighter than the sins of others? Whose sin is greater, a person who was caught in the act of adultery, or a person who is committing adultery in his or her heart? Should we call ourselves better people than adulterers because we’ve never physically been unfaithful to our wives or husbands? Who says we are better than the Muslims who bomb buildings and kill people? Should we call ourselves better people because we’ve never physically killed anyone? We are all sinners. Who is the biggest sinner? Paul said he was (see I Timothy 1:15). The...
