Seeing Past Our Mistakes
Every day I make mistakes.
No matter what I do, when I look back, I will see some kind of mistake.
Am I going to stop growing in Christ?
No.
Am I always going to see my past mistakes?
Yes.
Should I stop doing what I do?
Absolutely not.
What should we do then?
We must keep doing our best, and know that we are not perfect.
As we grow in Him we will see more of our mistakes.
It is funny how we look into our pasts and recognize our mistakes
and then somehow believe what we are doing now is not a mistake.
We think we know what to do now.
As we grow in Him, we will see that our current actions
are not as perfect and right as we thought they would be.
Why am I telling you this?
I want us to see that we all make mistakes,
and what we do is never going to be perfect.
The closer we get to Christ’s perfection,
the more what we do will seem imperfect.
God is not concerned about your perfection.
Do your best, attach yourself to Him and His perfection,
and know you will never do any perfect act on your own.
Walk toward Him and don’t be embarrassed
by your past decisions and mistakes,
and don’t be so proud of your present decisions and actions.
It is normal for our past to seem full of mistakes as we walk toward Him.
We are growing in God and every day our eyes will be more open
and our pasts will seem more imperfect.
We want to stop seeing our past mistakes and start seeing past our mistakes.
Just keep moving.
He loves you so much.
Keep looking into His beautiful eyes of love and acceptance.
