For the Sake of Love
We don’t obey the law for the sake of fulfilling the law.
We don’t do good things for the sake of being righteous.
We don’t pay our taxes because it is the right thing to do.
The law was fulfilled on the cross through Jesus,
and that burden was taken off of mankind’s shoulders.
Now we are under a new covenant and a new commandment—love.
Now we obey the law and God’s commandments for the sake of love.
We pay our taxes without cheating for the sake of love,
not for the sake of doing the right thing.
We live for the sake of love.
We go to our work places for the sake of love.
If we do good things for any reason other than love,
we will become sad, religious people.
Christ serves us with His love.
Have you been served by His love?
He is ever ready to serve us; He is ever ready to love us.
His love never fails.
No matter what we do, He still loves us.
He loves us even when we fall.
